in deep loss

Published on 23/06/2012 on nsmz

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalammualaikum.

I dedicate this post to those depressed individuals out there, and to myself.
There are times when you're so mad that you'd cry.
Those times when you feel like transferring to another school.
Those times when you feel like disappearing from everyone in the school.
Those times when you feel like you should have stayed at your old school.

But then it finally hits you, and soon enough you'll realize that it's not going to be forever. True, you could burst into non-stopping tears, cry your heart out, or sob till your eyes get all puffy - but make sure, that next time, you won't be crying over the same reason again.

Whenever you're feeling down, perform ablution. Make wudu'. Get closer to Him. Recite pages of the Holy Quran. Perform Salaah.

Whenever you feel like it's the end of the world, or as if there's completely, utterly, absolutely nothing worth living for - remember that this world, this life you're living -
Say, 'Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Worlds.'
Al-'An'am 6:162.
- it's not going to be forever. Don't you ever, ever, think that it's not worth it anymore. You live for a purpose. In fact, you've promised to Him.

Akhirat, the Hereafter, that's going to last. Forever. So instead of wasting your time crying over and over again, or lingering your mind on saddening thoughts, bond closer to Him. To Allah.

Life's so short. Time flies so fast - All mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

Do not waste your time complaining or being depressed. Prepare for Akhirat. Pray, perform good deeds, command right and forbid wrong ('amar Ma'aruf nahi munkar'), make something for your Deen. 'Cause the Hereafter is going to be forever, and surely you do not want to be stuck in Hell. Na'udzubillahi min zalik.
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.'
Al-Baqarah 2:156.
May you - yes you, who are reading this post - and I, have His comfort, Hidayah and blessings, here, and in the Hereafter. Insya-Allah.
