into november

2 months has passed since summer break.

Ok, let's see what I've been doing in this country so far.

Coping terribly with LDR, moved houses twice, endured countless rereading of a very cheesy personal statement, ate too much Ben & Jerry's (I'm taking advantage. Neither Jason's nor Jaya Grocer can beat the flavour range and price here), braved bad Skype connections, figured how to use the washing machine (and the dryer!!! unfortunately I can never tell what I can or can't put in, do they really need that many symbols just to ruin my favourite 2012 Olympics tee), drooled outside the Mulberry store, learnt how to make Nasi Lemak (scratch that, I've forgotten it by now.)

And oh... I almost forgot! Second year of A Levels.

What is life...

my ironing class

Day 10 out of 14

It's been 10 days, I'm still alive and well, thank God for that.

Today, Abah decided to enrol me in the Mr Zaid's Ironing Class because 'How are you ever gonna have a husband?'

I think I managed to graduate with honours. Like, 5-star laundry service kind of achievement. (Abah refuses to admit that, though, but that's mainly because he's jealous, not because I perasan, of course).

4 days till Bibi comes home.

In a nutshell, after Dad's 20-minute course, I concluded that someone should really invent an automatic home-compatible ironing machine. The one that inhales your clothes, vibrate a little for a couple of milliseconds, and there you have it - a crisp pair of pants, button-down shirts, anything.

The world needs a cute auto ironing machine, I'm sure.

sticking to the oven

Remember that time, in 2012, when the whole class laughed at me for not being able to fry ikan?

Yeah? Well, newsflash: I STILL CAN'T. *sigh*

Let's be frank here, frying is dangerous. I never got over that episode when bibi accidentally dropped her pisang into the pan, and BAMMM - you could have guessed what came next - and then I cried, oh my God I cried, because she seemed to be in pain and I just couldn't see her hurt like that.

At that moment, I made a promise to myself, to never fry anything. Ever.

But bibi, huh, she went back to her oils and pans, the day after the accident, with no regrets.

I wonder how she does that. Must be a total superhero.

sms sembrong

Assalammualaikum.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Well, isn't this a surprise. HAHAHAHHHA.

I couldn't stop laughing in the car because...........................................

However, a few minutes ago I googled up the school and hey, it's spanking new.

It looks pretty awesome!

And they actually treated Pizza Hut to students who happened to get straight A's for their UK1 (I have no idea what UK1 is). Just like in DABB where students are given the chance to dine with the Pengetua.

The school is so lucky to be well-equipped.

And the ultimate brownie point? I won't have to sit for Formative One, people!

There's only one issue - I don't do hostels.
