to swatch or not to swatch

I am so, so, confused.

Every time I see somebody wearing a Swatch (doesn't matter if it's a burgundy New Gent, a stripy Skin, or a checkerboard Irony), aside from feeling an overwhelming irritant, I go all Swatch is too mainstream, I shall now go back to Barbie. No exceptions.

And I'll make some mental note to check out adult-friendly Barbie watches because I am now 16, duh.

I shall never buy a Swatch ever again, I would say. No mainstream stuff. Oh yeah... Can also save up for college.

I deleted the most recent unread email from Swatch. Ahh, so steadfast this one.

I almost declared myself as Swatch-free. I wore none to school for almost two weeks now.

But today I found myself here and um... my resolutions went down the drain.

Too cute; too sophisticated; too swatch. Can't handle the pressure.

#thestruggle

my kind of syllabus

I'm in the middle of my finals, but I couldn't help but to post this teeny weeny post.

Spent a few gruesome days being friends with my textbook and well... it's not entirely my fault if I came up with this.

You know what I'd much rather do?

If given the choice, I would choose...

Potions over Chemistry.

History of Magic over Sejarah/History.

Quidditch/flying lessons over PJK/PE.

Care of Magical Creatures over Biology.

Arithmancy over Maths.

Ancient Runes over English & BM.

and do all the others (ok fine, I just couldn't decide on what their Muggle equivalent are); Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Divination, Herbology (probably gonna hate this one though).

Pretty sure I'm more than happy to study for the Os. Straight O's, even.

super cool tutorial right here

Assalammualaikum.

If there's a quirky thing about me (I mean, one from a whole lot of quirks), I'd say... I can never live far from airports without hyperventilating. What if something happens and I can't migrate? What if there's no decent store in town and I am unable to buy what I want? What would I do if I needed to fly on that very day?

There was that one time when I told my man - he's my dad, I'm still as fine - I'd like to reside in New Zealand. He then inquired, which part?

That question sent me down memory lane for a while.

Christchurch is a good choice. City centre, huge airport, shopping malls.
Auckland is practical. The capital of NZ, after all.
Queenstown is absolutely magnificent mashaAllah. But it's surrounded by mountains (that's what makes it picturesque, you silly).
Twizel shines (the stars, of course) but then again... I need huge airports.

My two fave guys trying to soak one another... maybe.

...and soon I was back in the pearls of New Zealand, namely Wanaka, Milford Sound, Fox Glacier... and such beautiful places I can always be amazed at for days on end.

By far, my favourite tourist destinations would be Queenstown and Vienna. My fellow peers would choose Paris or London - gorgeous, I admit, but classics are my cup of tea.

As much as I love Queenstown for all it boasts - the skiing, the lakes, the buildings, I'd choose Christchurch/Auckland over that, for Christchurch and Auckland are hugely populated cities. The environment is just as considerably wonderful.

"But who's going to live with me?" Abah pretended to cry aka smirking with that mischievous look of his. I know when the time comes, he'd be like, go awaaaay. Haha.

"Fine, I'll just live in kl and buy a duplex." Pffft.

every single time

Assalammualaikum.

It is a common thing to be asked on your ambition. That's like the basic rule of ice-breaking.

It is NOT a common thing to say "I'd like to be an entrepreneur." in my school. (outside school, however, it is common and a good thing to say, as a matter of fact haha)

So basically every time I mention my ambition, I would receive echoes of "Huh?" "Apa?" "Photographer?" "WHAAT?"

Seriously guys? Seriously?!

Hope these help

Pictures were gotten off google.

Assalamualaikum.

I was just making my way out of the toilet of Room 1302, when my dad calls me out loud. I see. He's been reading a the Star article on the laptop.

PMR results out on Wednesday

"What's your angka giliran?"

"Uh.. tak ingat... BJ somethingsomething or BD somethingsomething."

Promptly, I googled up my school's code (is it called a code?) and found out that it was a 'BD'.

Later at the airport while waiting for MHxxxx

I knew he was bored, and so was I. I rummaged through the backpack in the hope of finding something useful. I suppose something sparked inside of him as he suddenly bolted up and sat uprightly.

I cocked my eyebrows questioningly.

"You wanna try and sms 15888 now?" he asked.

"I thought it only starts on the 19th of November?"

"You never know..." he grinned slyly.

"LOL okay then." yes, I literally said lol. He occasionally utters the word too btw.

So he typed PMR followed by my IC number and index number and sent it to 15888.

A few seconds later his phone beeped. This time, he raised his eyebrows.

He longed to see "9A" or "Congratulations", and when he opened the message, what appeared was...

"Perkhidmatan bermula pada 19 November 2012."

Pfffffffftttttt.

15 years of age

Published on 23/08/2012 on nsmz

I've been itching to publish this, but I never did. This was written roughly about one and half months ago.

And oh, Happy Birthday Alya, may Allah bless you always. Have a blast!

Something terrible happened, and because of it, I was terribly late for school. I was at a loose end, and I really did not want to attend school, until I remembered how Ain and Amalin kept reminding me to come... for reasons that I don't even know... yet.

I rushed, and Alhamdulillah, I managed to arrive at school on time. Still, it was slightly late for a prefect though. I was almost running, and as I reached 1 Hamzah, even Izwan had this "dude-you're-so-late" look on his face.

After the Quran-reciting session ended, I went to class and found a white, translucent plastic bag.

I smirked. Must've been Ain and Amalin's work. No wonder they kept bugging me with "Sab, please come tomorrow?" "You're going to school, right?"

I was secretly hoping for a whole cake... okay I'm kidding. So I shared the slice with the girls of 3 Abu Bakar. The boys were out as they had SUKANTARA, meh it's not like I'm going to share with them if they were present anyway.

After Mama fetched me from school, I waited until the Jumaat prayers was over at home. Abah planned to take me out to buy me my birthday gift, unfortunately the nearest place for me to get them was the Low Yat Plaza - well, let's just say that it's irrelevant to be going there on a Friday afternoon.

So instead of buying my birthday present, we went to Yummie to get some supplies for my Red Velvet cake pops.

Yay it's my birthday! Alhamdulillah for reaching fifteen.

Went to Being Me Conference, MATRADE. I suppose I am not capable of elaborating more. Perhaps you could go here instead. Captivating talks, kiosks, fashion show, manicure & pedicure, yadda yadda.

"Being ME – Muslimah Empowered embarks upon this mission to give Muslimah’s an outlet to express the reality of their lifestyles, share accomplishments that benefit humanity and inspire others to do the same. This is the inaugural Islamic Women’s Conference in Malaysia that allows the opportunity to address the daily challenges facing the Muslim Woman today." -from the website
Nothing much - cake pops preps, Abah flew to Oman.

More cake pops. Never thought it would be so exhausting. Final products were far off expectations, but there's always a first try so Alhamdulillah. Failed to produce something similar to Pint Sized Baker's.

Actual turnout looking disastrous

Picked up birthday cakes at the Mines, one for the class and one to be brought to Grandma & Grandpa's.

Brought everything to school - cake, cake pops, paper plates, serviettes and disposable forks. Shared everything with everyone. I suppose the class was happy? Alhamdulillah.

Hats off to Mama, Abah, Amalin & Ain, Sarah, Hannani, the class, and most importantly, thank you Allah, for giving me the opportunity to live and breath in this world for fifteen years and more to come insya-Allah. Alhamdulillah.

Assalammualaikum.

It's the school holiday... and I'm super bored. Been wasting my time playing games, reading FanFics and writing my own.

So... anyway... as I was too bored, I kinda browsed through the mails in my inbox. And I read all those stuff I sent to people during the old days.

This was the first email that I sent. Very very childish with all those pink fonts and emoticon all over.
Assalaamu"alaikum wr wb

In fact, the content of the email itself was err... I don't know. I was simply mumbling on how I love Nutella and bread for breakfast, and that Sarah and Alya are 10 years old and abah had 3 children. Nonsense.

My deutsch is fading very very quickly, took me a while before I can actually understand what I wrote.

Anyway. This is the first mail I've received, (well, other then the Welcome to Yahoo thing), from Abah of course, since it's the reply.

Assalamualaikum My dearest daughter,

Indeed, Abah is exteremely delighted to read your first german letter to me. Please continue to do so. Would love to see, if possible Afiq and Faiz's letters too!

So you enjoyed eating the bread with nutella and marmalade? (hahaha.. I hope I am right). Would like to apologise for my limitation on deutsche but it doesnt matter. I just love to see your words.

So Sarah and Aliya have both reached 10 years? Well congratulations to them for reaching a beautiful 10 years..

Abah is currently doing work at the office. Normally abah goes home at around 8pm, just in time   for Isya' prayers. After a bit of TV and Quran of a few pages, Abah normally goes to sleep.  Our house is looking as good as before and I really miss you, afiq and faiz.

Ich Lieber dich too!!

ICH LIEBE DICH AUCH, ABAH <3
